Meet the doctors

Dr. Nathan Hetrick grew up in a rural farming community in north-western Wyoming before later
moving to North Texas with his family. He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Biology at the University of
North Texas and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at
San Antonio.

His priority is always to provide the highest quality and most comfortable dental experience possible,
from simple cleanings, fillings, and crowns to root canals, dental implants, and more. When he is not
practicing dentistry, Dr. Hetrick and his wife, Sarah, enjoy hiking, spending time with friends and
family, and singing in their church choir.

Dr. Hetrick is grateful to be a part of his community, to serve their dental needs, and to encourage
healthy smiles to all his patients.

Dr. Richard Potter earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at The University of Texas at Austin. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School. Though he practices all aspects of general dentistry, Dr. Potter’s focus is occlusal therapy.

His professional passion is being able to treat his patients with the best dentistry possible. It can be as simple as relieving the patient’s pain or as complex as rebuilding their entire occlusion while improving their smiles to health and beauty. The patient’s healthy smile at the end of treatment is his ultimate gratification.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Potter and his wife enjoy serving their community in any way they can, be it free dental clinics, church retreats, or feeding the homeless. He is also an avid reader and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and friends. Dr. Potter’s patients especially like his great sense of humor and his ability to have fun while at work. He believes that a healthy sense of humor can make everybody’s day a whole lot better.

Dr. Chris Marlette and his wife Yvonne moved to San Antonio in 2009 to be closer to their family, which has lived here for many years. After graduating from the University of Florida’s College of Dentistry in 1981, he had his own private dental practice for 27 years.

With his many years of being a business owner, entrepreneur, and provider of high-quality dental health care, Dr. Marlette brings a unique perspective to Heritage Dental. He is extremely skilled in all aspects of dental care, including full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry, root canal treatment, dental surgery, dental implant placement, and restoration.

Dr. Marlette enjoys every minute outside of the practice of dentistry spending time with his lovely wife. Whether it be hiking or biking, he and Yvonne love the outdoor activities that Texas offers year round. They also enjoy spending a lot of time with both sets of their parents— who live here in San Antonio— as well as their son on the weekends. Being avid football fans, their family always comes together on the weekends. Dr. Marlette and his wife feel truly blessed to be in this city to care for their family and to care for the dental needs of the community.
